Description
Polly Dunning becomes active in the Insurrection of the Clan Donald, when her Scottish Highland neighbors of Cross Creek (now Fayetteville), join the British forces against the American colonists to be defeated at Moores Creek Bridge, near Wilmington. As a volunteer nurse, she follows the soldier-colonists.
